Getting Ready for Baby Boy's Arrival!

All is well in the Mehall household! We are preparing for our new arrival in 3 weeks- so exciting! My law school friends had a dinner in honor of baby boy last weekend. It was such a treat to get to celebrate him! Last night Todd and I went to spend the night in Fort Worth for his Christmas party. It was really nice to get to spend some time alone with Todd before our life gets really busy. We had a great night and a leisurely morning and then picked up Madeline from KK and Grandad's this afternoon. As each day goes by I am getting more and more excited about the addition to our family- such a blessing especially at the holidays!

We had a great Halloween! Madeline and I went to a Halloween party with all of her friends on Friday morning. That evening we went to another party with some older kids where Madeline had a ball running after all of the big kids from yard to yard as they went to the door to trick or treat!

Saturday we got up and drove to our friend's ranch with 6 other couples with babies. It was a beautiful day and was so nice to get out of the city as a family. It was probably our last "family" road trip before Baby Boy arrives. Madeline did well in the car but was ready to run around with her friends when we arrived. She is so funny and assertive. She loves to play with the other kids and also loves to dance when music is playing.

I will be 34 weeks pregnant this week-yeah! We officially moved Madeline upstairs into her big girl room last weekend and prepared the nursery for Baby Boy's arrival. It is so strange seeing the nursery now blue with all of his little items in it instead of Madeline's stuff. Makes me a little sad to have Madeline upstairs, but so goes the transitions of life, which are a blessing! I am trying to savor every moment with Madeline before our life gets crazy with Baby Boy's arrival- I pray that the transition is not too disruptive and that she loves her baby brother. We are blessed!

Farmer's Market and TX/OU

We had a great weekend! Saturday morning we all went to the Farmer's Market where Madeline explored all of the different pumpkin stands and we picked out some for our house. Madeline loved touching all of the pumpkins and weaving in and out of the pumpkins. That afternoon we had friends over to watch the Longhorns beat Oklahoma - Hook'em Horns! Was a great day and a wonderful weekend spending time together!

October Update

September was a good month! Madeline had her first day of school and is slowly getting used to Mommy dropping her off for 3 hours. She is talking more each day and loves to dance with the Wiggles and pet the pup-pups. She also LOVES to play outside and amazes Todd and I how much she understands.

We had a great weekend last weekend where we got together with the Waco crew and their babies. It was lots of fun to play with all of the kids!

I will be 30 weeks pregnant on Friday and am still feeling well. Baby Boy is daily getting bigger in my tummy and is getting very uncomfortable- scary that I still have 9 weeks to go! We set my C-section date for December 12th- so exciting and I know it will be here before we know it!

Retirement

I officially retired on Thursday and am ready to be a full time mom :) I am sad to leave my job because I really loved it but I think it is important for me now to embrace this time in my life of having children! I am really looking forward to these next 3 months with just Madeline! Will be a sweet time in our lives!

This past weekend Todd's parents and Rachel came in town. We had a nice weekend and Madeline was able to wear hear Longhorn cheer outfit for the first (and last :) ) time. Looks like we will have to pass on the "belly" top to another one of our younger Longhorn friends.

I am 25 weeks pregnant and feeling great! I have been working on having new nursery bedding made for Baby Boy and planning for Madeline's big girl room. It is an exciting time!

This is our first attempt at "blogging" but I thought we would give it a try to update friends and for us to be able to keep track of all the events in our life.

All is well in the Mehall household- I am 22 weeks pregnant and feeling well! Madeline is 13 months and just a joy! Running around everywhere and into everything- but such a delight. Todd is loving his new job in Fort Worth and we feel blessed for the new opportunity. We do not have a move date yet, but are hopeful the house will sell soon.
