Summer 2011

We have had a wonderful Summer thus far! We started with Madeline's dance recital- she loves to dance and was a pro onstage :) We also took the kids to the Texas coast for the first time. We rented a house in Galveston and my parents came with us. The kids had a ball and loved the sand and ocean. Is a joy to watch them grow up and come into their own personalities. Madeline is a precious little girl- full of fun and giggles, but also sweet and good to her little brother. Henry is a fire ball- always on the go with the most hysterical personlity- he loves to laugh and make others laugh too. We are blessed!

The Mehalls are busy and well! Pre-school has begun and Madeline is loving it! She is a busy happy girl and loves going to school to see her friends and play. She was very upset yesterday about not getting the "pink" soccer ball while playing in school and had to settle for a "yellow" one- literally we heard about it until she went to bed- what can I say? She is my daugther :) Henry is busy as ever, following Madeline around and loving to poke and prode her to get her attention. Todd has been dove hunting alot, which has meant good Mommy time and a happy husband. I enjoy the Fall for him to get out and enjoy his hobby and for me to have time at home with Madeline and Henry.

We went to the ranch a few weeks ago and Henry and Madeline were able to feed Grandpa Bob's baby deer. They absolutely loved it and were so gentle bottle feeding the deer. It is fun for me to watch them get to be close to the sweet deer and learn to take care of them. Has been a fun experience for us all!

We are looking forward to a nice Fall and the weather cooling down. Hope everyone is well!

Back in the Blogging Business :)

Yes, it has been WAYYYY too long since I have posted but I enjoy reading my sweet friends posts so much, that I thought I should get back in the game.

All is great in the Mehall household. Madeline turned 3 last week and Henry is 19 months old. They are delightful, happy and healthy children- such a blessing. They truly love one another and keep our lives full and busy. Madeline is still such a girly girl- loves her dresses and is now really into princesses and fairys- too funny. She loves her little preschool and loves to color and draw. She calls me her "best friend" and Todd her "prince"- such a delight. Henry is a true boy- he LOVES balls and loves to throw anything he can get his hands on. He loves to go "side" and play in the backyard. He is still my cuddly baby and loves his mommy :)

I truly could not be more thankful for the full life God has given us. We are loving Fort Worth and still learning more about the city. We have had a full Summer- Todd and I went on a beach trip in May, then I had a girls beach trip after that. We just got back from a family trip to Colorado for 10 days in which we experienced our first road trip- was honestly really good-trying at times, but overall fun.

I pray for a safe and healthy rest of the Summer and that my babies continue to be happy and healthy!

Summer 2009

It has been a busy late Spring/Summer so far for the Mehall clan! Todd and I went to Jamaica with some friends in late April. It was great to get away together and to relax on the beach. I turned 30-yikes!- in May and we celebrated with a cocktail party with our new Fort Worth friends and then Todd and I had a nice night to ourselves in Dallas. We have been swimming every day and playing with our new friends. We went to the ranch for Memorial Day and had a great time swimming and running around.
Henry turned 6 months this month and Madeline will be 2 this next month. My babies are growing way too fast! Henry is the most delightful child- he just loves to smile and giggle. I wish he could stay this young and precious forever. Madeline is a true delight also! She continues to love Henry and love to make him laugh. Recently she has been trying to teach him to clap all on her own. It is so cute to see her bend over him and put his hands together and he just squeals with delight! We are loving spending time as a family this Summer and just enjoying our babies!

Fort Worth is good!

Well it has been too long since I have written but all is great and busy! We have been in Fort Worth for 9 weeks now and life is settling down and we are getting into a new routine. We have been really blessed here with lots of new friends and we are loving Todd not having to commute and being able to be home early in the evening with us. The city is wonderful- it is laid back and everything is really accessible. We love the parks, zoo and all of our new friends.

Henry is doing great! He is 4 months old now- I can't believe my sweet baby boy is growing so fast! He is a precious child- is really happy go lucky and just waits for you to talk to him so he can grin and coo back at you. Madeline LOVES her baby brother so much- which is a true gift from above! She is always asking to "hold him" and constantly running by to give him a kiss. She is as active as ever and just a joy! She is talking a lot and a true girl- she loves purses, shoes and bows in her hair :)

Todd turned 35 yesterday and we had a fun family birthday party for him at home. Todd and I also were able to get away to the beach for a week last week which was a wonderful break and so nice to be able to spend quiet time together.

I feel very blessed by the last two months and the successful move and transition. God is good and I pray that he continues to watch over us all and keep us healthy and safe in the months to come!

Moving On...

I thought I should update the blog one last time before we moved from Dallas as who knows how long it will take us to get our Internet up and running in Fort Worth!

We had a wonderful Christmas with our two precious babies! We stayed in Dallas and all of my family came to us to celebrate. Madeline loved playing with all of her new toys and Henry just sat and watched peacefully as the chaos of the house ran by.

The New Year has been good to us- we finally sold our Dallas house and purchased a home in Fort Worth. Tomorrow is the big moving day so I pray that all goes smoothly and that the transition is not too hard for us all. I am so sad to leave my sweet friends and family in Dallas, but take heart in knowing that we are literally minutes away from them. I pray for good things to continue in the new year and for Fort Worth to be a good home for us all!

Henry Andrew Mehall

Henry Andrew Mehall surprised us all and arrived late Thanksgiving night on November 28, 2008! We had had a full day with the family for Thanksgiving and my contractions started while watching the UT/ATM game around 9:00 p.m. By 11:30 they were in full force and we headed to the hospital where they told me I was in "active" labor and would be having Henry that night/early morning. Henry arrived into this world at 5:39 a.m.- a true blessing and miraculous event! He was thankfully in great health weighing 6 lbs 3 oz and 19 inches long even though he was 3 weeks early. It has been a joyous past 2 weeks as we have settled in at home and figured out the new "normal" routine for the Mehall family. I love my two sweet babies and just feel so blessed by them both during this holiday season!
